The Stage is Set!
Well, folks, it all comes down to this. Our championship game is set: #1. Single-Family Home will take on #2. Highly-Rated Schools and attempt to defend its championship. The last round was expected, but here’s your Final Four recap:
Early Game: #3. Finished Basement tried to make a run multiple times, but it seemed for every change they made, #1. Single-Family Home had an immediate answer. They tried to press, but it was broken; they tried a triangle-two defense on juniors Brick Exterior and Front Door, but others stepped up; they tried the flex offense, but that had little to no success-- it just wasn’t in the cards this year. Single-Family home was on fire during the second half, seemingly sinking every shot. They finished the game making an impressive 87.5% of their free throws.
Late Game: While the late game was closer, it still wasn’t much of a competition. Highly-Rated Schools started on an 8-0 run and didn’t look back. Open Concept tried to make a comeback late in the 3rd with a 6-0 run of their own, but Highly-Rated called a time-out and switched from a man-to-man to a zone defense. #1. Open Concept Living/Kitchen just couldn’t get the shots to fall and saw its run come to an end, as #2. Highly-Rated Schools once again showed amazing teamwork. Five different players from Schools put up double figures. Extra Curriculars and Teacher: Student Ratio led the way for Highly-Rated, with 18 and 16 points, respectively. Extra Curriculars pulled down 12 boards as well, and Teacher: Student Ratio led the team with eight assists and four steals. This will be Highly-Rated’s 10th championship appearance in the last 15 years.
